This Privacy Policy describes how J.R. Capital Group Pty Ltd (ABN 70 691 739 367), an Australian proprietary limited company, ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the MyFamily Ultimate Planner mobile application and related services (the "Service").
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, including your family name, email address, and family member profiles. We also store the calendar events, chores, shopping lists, meals, baby tracker entries, and notes you create within the app to provide our core services. Optional features (such as the Family Map) may collect additional information including device location with your explicit permission.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to synchronize your family data across devices, manage subscriptions, deliver geofence and reminder notifications, and provide AI-powered features such as the Family Assistant. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Children's Information
MyFamily Ultimate Planner is designed for families managed by parents or guardians. The Service is intended for adult users (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Family member profiles for children are created and managed solely by the parent or guardian account holder. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
4. Location Data
If you enable the Family Map, we collect device location (including in the background, where the operating system permits) to display your position to other approved members of your family unit and to trigger geofence-based notifications. Location data is shared only within your family group and is never sold or used for advertising. You can disable location sharing at any time from within the app.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) and secure backend services (Firebase by Google), to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to provide and improve the Service:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, database, cloud functions, storage
- Google AdMob — advertising for free-tier users
- Google Gemini — AI-powered Family Assistant
- Apple App Store / Google Play — subscription and payment management
- OpenStreetMap / CARTO — map tiles for the Family Map
- Open-Meteo — weather data
Each service operates under its own privacy policy.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through the app settings, all associated family data is permanently removed from our active servers within 30 days. Backup copies may be retained for up to 90 days for disaster recovery purposes.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You may also opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings.
- For EU/EEA users, we process data under the GDPR.
- For California residents, we comply with the CCPA.
- For Australian users, we comply with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
You can exercise these rights by contacting us or using the in-app account management features.
9. Your Choices
You can update or delete your profile information at any time within the app settings. Deleting your family account will remove all associated data from our active servers.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email.
